My Experience as Ambassador, Opened a New Vista; Bianca Ojukwu.

By Uchendu Precious (Foreign Correspondent)

My Experience as Ambassador Opened a New Vista; Bianca Ojukwu.

“The future is not a gift. It is an achievement”.

In line with the above words of Robert F. Kennedy, Bianca Ojukwu, in her quest to stop at nothing in seeking for a greater future, excellence, and to be the best she can be, added a new feather and received a new accolade in her career.

Call it; ‘Ada goes to school’, or Bianca goes to school, they would all suffice.

Bianca, the Nigerian former ambassador to Spain, recently graduated with a Master‘s degree in International relations at the prestigious UAX –Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio Madrid, Spain.
The colorful graduation ceremony which involved graduates from all parts of the continents was held on June 10, 2016 at the University campus. Notably among other graduates, is Hon. Obed Wazani, Nigeria’s former ambassador to Spain and Vatican.

Accompanying  Bianca to the event were; her daughter Chineme,  Eric Bell Gam- Charge de Affairs of the Nigerian embassy Spain, who is among the new ambassadors recently appointed, some staff of the embassy, and the Gambian ambassador to Spain, Mr.Lang Yabou.
Our special correspondent, Uchendu Precious who was at the event had a brief interview with Ambassador Ojukwu after the ceremony.

Your Excellency, by this graduation you have added a new feather; so how do you feel about today’s event?

                                                 Amb.Bianca Ojukwu with daughter.

I feel much fulfilled.  As you can see it was a spectacular ceremony. It was something that I determined to do and I have to sacrifice a lot of time and decided to put in a great deal of concentration to make it possible. And today by God’s grace I am happy that all my efforts have paid off and finally I have completed the master’s program and today, we were given our certificates.

What motivated you to seek for further studies, having occupied a high position as an Ambassador?

Really, during having this experience of being an ambassador, it opened a very new vista: of which I became very much interested in the politics of international arbitration, human rights, international relations and diplomacy. And I decided to learn more about these areas, about the discipline. And that was why I decided to engage in Master’s program.

The essence of any meaningful education is to benefit oneself and the society, so how would you put to use the knowledge acquired to help Nigeria and the world at large?

I believe the knowledge I have garnered ;in the area of human rights, in the area of politics, cooperation, international mediation, and negotiations, would be of great benefits, especially in my engagements with non-governmental organizations and institutions that are also engaged in this field.  I hope to use the experience I have garnered to affect positively: the society, my community and to help build stronger institutions and encourage an environment where human right can thrive.

Nigeria, What Have You Done?

By Uchendu Precious (Special Correspondent)

Nigeria, What Have You Done?

About 4000 years ago a lifeless beheaded body of a man was lying on the ground abandoned. The assailant thought that as no one caught him he has escaped and could hide and cover his crime. But unknown to him the same earth he was marching and hiding on, refused to take the body of his victim as his blood kept crying out. He said.
“What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground”. Gen. 4:10

Today, the lifeless beheaded body of a woman is lying on Nigerian soil. And the ground her blood has touched is crying out and asking, Nigeria, what have you done? And what did the woman do?

For answers to these two questions, the first question is left for Nigeria to provide the answer. For the second part, the woman’s only crime was that she was a Nigerian and a Christian.

According to information from a member of Mbaitoli Association in Kano, a young man came to Mrs. Bridget shop’s front to wash his legs for the usual Muslims prayers, and she appealed to him to go elsewhere to wash his legs as her customers are still in the shop. But the young man having ulterior motives, shouted “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar”, lying to his group that Mrs. Bridget has blasphemed against Prophet Mohammed.

Efforts by her husband, Pastor Mike who hails from Amaukwu, Orodo town in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state and a Pastor of the Deeper Life Ministry Kano and other traders to explain to already stationed Muslim youths proved abortive.

They dragged her away from the husband, according to the relatives and beheaded her, and used her head as trophy to parade around the market and the town center. Not minding that these blood thirsty religious freaks celebrated with Mrs. Bridget’s decapitated head for over 2 hours; no security agent raised a finger.

The Igbo residents in Kano regretted that the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari  have emboldened members of the Islamist terror groups, Boko haram, Fulani herdsmen, and other Islamist fundamentalists across the country, as they are sure they will never be prosecuted not minding the magnitude of their offense.

Nigeria, what have you done?  The blood of Bridget is crying out from the ground against you.

“Any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee”. (John Dunne).

Nigeria, what have you done? This bell tolls for thee. President Buhari, this bell tolls for thee. Imo state Governor and all Nigerian governors, this bell tolls for thee. Inspector General of Police, all security agents and Minister of Justice, this bell tolls for thee.
All women, mothers, girls, women of Nigeria, Africa and women all over the world, this bell tolls for thee.

All Christians, Moslems, Blacks, Whites and mankind all over the world, this bell tolls for thee. It is not question of her religion, tribe or race but because she was a human being, you are involved.

That woman lying there was someone’s mother, wife, sister, daughter, niece or relative. And she could have been my wife, your sister, mother or relative. Mr. President, Governors, security agents, Imagine you wake up one morning and you find any of your own in this state, what would you do? Nigeria, what have you done? This blood is crying to you and this bell tolls for thee.

BUHARI'S CHANGE EXAMINATION (BCE) FOR NIGERIANS BEFORE MAY 29

By Uchendu Precious (Special Correspondent)

BUHARI’S CHANGE EXAMINATION (BCE) FOR NIGERIANS BEFORE MAY 29

In a few days from now, May 29, 2016 President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government of change will complete one year. Based on the doses of change injections Nigerians have received under this period, The Say News, after due consultations with its major information sources decided to conduct a compulsory Buhari Change Examination (BCE) for Nigerians, which result will be used as an appraisal for the state of the nation. And successfulNigerians will also be issued the BCE certificate after the Exam. It is an open book examination.

PLEASE, ATTEMPT ALL QUESTIONS

If GEJ is a constant, while APC is a variable, and if 1 year has been used for blaming, with the aid of a  diagram,

1. Discuss the probability of APC blaming GEJ for the next 3 years for:
i.          Dollar increase.
ii.         ii. Fuel Price increase.

2. If APC = All promises cancelled, where PMB is a constant, discuss the speed at which people's suffering may increase.

3. Define the term, ''Budget padding''.

4. Mention 3 types of APC propaganda you know, and how they can be used in 21st century politics.

5. Mention 5 Prisoners you know who feed with N14000 every day.

6. Mention the next 3 countries PMB  will travel to after London.

7. If PMB is silent when herdsmen kill people but buys a jet fighter when Biafra is mentioned, solve the equation in correlation to x.

8. Write short notes on these mad phrases; masquerade dressing, importation of grass and pencil production by 2017.

9. If x is 'change' and y is ' lies/propaganda', solve the equation, 2x + 5y = ?

10. If you used to be corrupt, but now you are fantastically corrupt, explain the effect of gravitational force on you

Re. NIGERIANS IN SPAIN CONDEMNS SPATE OF INSECURITY IN NIGERIA

Uchendu Precious Onuoha (Special Correspondent)

Re. NIGERIANS IN SPAIN CONDEMNS SPATE OF INSECURITY IN NIGERIA

(LAMPTEY ORIAKHI, THE FACE OF AN IMPOSTOR)

Our attention has been drawn to a fallacious cloned publication attributed to the Daily Times of May 17 titled, “Nigerians In Spain Condemns Spate Of Insecurity In Nigeria” by an impostor named Lamptey Oriakhi, who claimed to be the President of the Federation of Nigerians in Spain (FNCS) an umbrella organization established to cater for the welfare of Nigerians resident in Spain. For reference, see the link below;  http://dailytimes.ng/nigerians-spain-condemns-spate-insecurity-nigeria/

We, the concerned Nigerians living in the Royal Kingdom of Spain, wish to use this medium and the opportunities offered herein to refute on behalf of the entire Nigeria nation in Spain that he, Lamptey Oriakhi, is a blatant liar, a self-seeking individual, power monger, a gold digger and desperado per excellence.

It will be recalled in that publication that he claimed that it was the elections held on April 23, 2016   in   Madrid,   the   Spanish   capital that brought him as the new president of the Federation. It is so treacherous to have made such outrageous claim knowing fully that he is not the president of the Federation and there were no elections held on that date.

For the avoidance of doubt and to put the record straight, the federation of Nigeria communities in Spain, held its bi-annual elections on November 28, 2015 in Barcelona. After the keenly contested elections, Prince Taiwo Adesegun emerged as the new president of the federation along with other members of his cabinet.  Lamptey Oriakhi, equally contested for the presidency, but was disqualified for forgery and falsification of documents.

In line with the constitution of the federation, the Nigeria embassy Spain was invited to witness the elections. The embassy in response to the invitation sent two high ranking officials as observers. After the well-attended elections, the winners were sworn in and they have been performing their official functions since then. It is so misleading by Lamptey to have made the purported publication asserting himself as the President of FNCS.

We wish to inform herein that Lamptey Oriakhi, is not the President of our revered federation. Therefore, the publication and the claims made therein are null and void to the extent of its inconsistency.

Yes, we agree that the insecurity in our nation has gone haywire, but no one has sent Lamptey Oriakhi, any errand on behalf of the Nigeria nation in Spain. Hence  any claim made  in  that  publication is  his  personal views  which he  is entitled to as a Nigerian. The president of the federation Prince Taiwo Adesegun, will in due course, make categorical statement on several issues bothering Nigerians in Spain including the thorny issue of insecurity in the Nation.

For further clarifications on this subject matter, we refer you or we ask that you send inquiries to the Nigeria embassy, Madrid. The names, addresses and telephone numbers of the executives of the federation are intact in their office and they have been in constant communications on issues
relating to the welfare of the Nigeria people resident in the Royal Kingdom of Spain.

Finally, we wish to use this opportunity to state that henceforth, it will do the purported Daily Times editorial board or any other news tabloid much good to seek clarifications on sensitive issues concerning Nigerians in Spain before publishing same to avoid libel or any legal confrontation with any organization, more-so, when the publication is sent by proxy and not by direct interview or by personal representation.

We are open to dialogue and robust communications on matters bothering on the Nigeria Nation at home and in diaspora.

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Long live the Nigeria community in Spain!!

Our patriotic regards,

The undersigned: For Concerned Nigerians in Spain.

Dr. CHIBUIKE SIKE DECLARED AS ABIA GOVERNOR IN SPAIN

By Uchendu Precious Onuoha (Special Correspondent)

Dr. CHIBUIKE SIKE DECLARED AS ABIA GOVERNOR IN SPAIN

The Abia State Association (ABSA) which is the umbrella body for all Abia state indigenes living in Diaspora in the kingdom of Spain, during their general congress in Madrid on May 15, 2016 in an election which was devoid of the Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and  Dr Alex Otti  election’s imbroglio at the home state, peacefully re-elected and unanimously declared Elder Dr. Chibuike Sike the Governor and leader of Abia state people in the kingdom of Spain.

Elder Sike, speaking to our Special Correspondent in Spain, Uchendu Precious Onuoha, expressed his gratitude to God and Abians for the confidence they reposed in him to serve them. He stated that he will join hands with the parent Governor of Abia state in Nigeria Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to make Abia state great and to ensure that Abia state retains its position as the number one state and God’s own state in Nigeria.

Dr Sike was returned unopposed based on his exemplary leadership qualities exhibited during the past two years he has championed the affairs of the Association in Spain. During this period, the association witnessed a rapid growth and recorded tremendous progress. Among the laudable achievements include;

Restoration of unity, peace and love among Abians who were toeing the paths of different groups and clan factions before, but today has come together as one and have seen themselves as members of the same family.

The Association was registered to operate as a legal entity under the regulations stipulated for associations to operate in the kingdom of Spain. Also registration of the Abia state association with the Nigerian Embassy and recognition as a friend of the Embassy.

Introduction of Repatriation Insurance Policy, a policy which ensures that the remains of every Abia citizen is not left behind in a foreign land but taken back to his place of origin in event of death. This is important knowing that it is not in Abia culture to bury their dead ones in foreign lands not to talk of cremating or burning their dead as it’s done in Spain.

Also within this period, the Abia state cultural values were taken to an esteemed height. The “IKPRIRIKPI  OGU” war dance has become a thriller in Spain. No important event among the Nigerian, African and Spanish community is complete without the presence of the Ikpirikpi Ogu dancers. To the extent that events are cancelled or postponed until the presence of the Abia cultural group is guaranteed.

Many people after watching the electrifying and charming performance of the group declare to change their Nationality and State of origin to Abia state. Meanwhile, ABSA Spain has introduced an Identity card not only for Abians but for those wishing to change their state of origin to Abia state except the Fulani herdsmen.

An Igbo adage says; Uzo maa mma, aga ya ngalabu” meaning that if a road is good, it is gone twice. That was what Abians in Spain saw in Elder Chibuike Sike and decided that he should continue to cook for them.

NIGERIA RECEIVING BUHARI’S CHANGE INJECTIONS

By Uchendu Precious Onuoha  (Special Correspondent)

NIGERIA RECEIVING BUHARI’S CHANGE INJECTIONS

I had a headmaster during my primary school days whose name was “Sir Odim Uto” meaning “it Sweets me sir”. No scholar knew his real name. Sir Odim Uto was a nickname derived from his peculiar manner of dishing out strokes of cane in the name of discipline to scholars. If you are to receive Sir Odim Uto’s twelve lashes of cane in your buttocks, you would be mandated to say under that severe pain, it sweets me Sir as the strokes land on your buttocks.

The fear of Sir Odim Uto’s punishment was the beginning of wisdom for us kids. And as a child my daily prayer before going to school used to be, “Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name… lead me not into temptation but deliver me from Sir Odim Uto’s cane in Jesus name Amen”. To survive the pains of Odim Uto’s strokes though meant for good and corrective purposes was like passing through the valley of the shadow death.

Today, Nigerians are under the strokes of a new Headmaster Buhari, with his string at hand injecting doses of change, and as painful as the change pills and injections may be, Nigerians as helpless kids under the Headmaster, like or dislike, must receive doses, strokes and swallow the bitter pills of change.

A few months ago, under Jonathan whom the current leadership slams as “evil genius” as he is cast in the light of being responsible for all the woes and things that went wrong  in the country in the past even before Nigeria was born. Under him, the press and Nigerians enjoyed an air of freedom of expression in the media to a large extent.

Jonathan was criticized as inexperienced, incompetent, clueless, drunken master of Otuoke and things like that and nobody was harassed. But today under our new Sir Odim Uto the Headmaster, effort has been put in place to emasculate the social media by firing the first salvo to pass a law against the social media. The DSS the directive of Sir Odim Uto has unleashed a reign of terror on the media and are secretly going after journalists and those who say something against our Headmaster in the social media.

Among  Bihari’s series of change doses which he is administering to Nigerians are ; Fuel price hike, Falling Naira, Poor electricity supply, Salary delay, Decaying Infrastructures, Rising cost of living, Hyperinflation, (Fulani herdsmen ) sorry that was a slip of pen, I mean  Libya herdsmen.

After these first set of change doses which are just but appetizers and the beginning of pains and sorrow, the Headmaster cum Doctor will introduce a new style of treatment and cure called ACUPUNCTURE,  which is a specialized form of treatment in the medical field.

At that stage the injections would not only be through the buttocks but will pierce his syringe through the eyes, nose, ear, tummy and all parts of the body of his patients. By that time, Nigerians may not continue to say ,”it sweet me sir” but will react  and say , oga, iget as  ide do me…Until then the change injection continues.
